If you receive an email containing the text, "You have 1 new ALERT message," do NOT click the link. This email is an example of phishing. Phishing is the illegal process of attempting to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details. By clicking on the fraudulent link, you'll be directed to a page with a similar interface to It's Me 247. You'll also be instructed to enter your personal information, including email address, zip code, 16-digit debit card number, debit card expiration date and verification code, and even the 4-digit debit card ATM PIN!
